"In God we trust, all others must display PACAF Form 85"
Whoops! Forgot to turn in my security
badge.
(Think they're still looking for it after 47 years?)
I misplaced this badge when we transferred to the
6313th Air
Police Squadron
It turned up years later in an old uniform pocket.
This is what it took to get into the 7th TDS site. There was a duplicate badge with
a red stripe maintained in the site gate house. To enter, 7th TDS
personnel presented the plain badge and were given the striped badge in return
by the AP manning the gate. When one exited the site the reverse process
took place.
THE BOMB
We dared not speak it's name back in those days

Mark 28 Thermonuclear Weapon B28EX
As 7th TDS Air Policemen we normally saw this bad boy under a canvas cover which disguised its shape somewhat. Of course, we got to know this weapon very well later on when we were transferred to the 6313th AP Squadron and we ended up "humping the ramp" and guarding the F-100s. There was one of these strapped under the belly of every F-100 on the alert pad. We also guarded the alert C-130s which were filled with Mark 28s and "birdcages".

12th/3rd Aviation Depot Squadron
(SAC)

Prior to 1960 this was the 12th Aviation Depot Squadron (12th ADS - SAC). Later
redesignated as the 3rd ADS area
It was located across the highway from Kadena Gate 3
This later became the 7th TDS/400th MMS Plant 2 area. Security for this
area was transferred from SAC to the 6313th Air Police
Squadron along with 3rd ADS Air Policemen.

The above signs are situated at the co-located entrances to Camp Bishigawa (USMC) and the 546th Ammunition Supply Squadron Depot. The 546th ASSD was a massive ammunition storage area and the 7th TDS site occupied one small corner of this area.
